Rings
South Africa uses the alphabetical sizing system, the same as the UK. If you know a US size we can convert it.
| SA / UK | US | Inside circumference |
|---|---|---|
| J | 4¾ | 48.7 mm |
| L | 5¾ | 51.2 mm |
| N | 6¾ | 53.8 mm |
| P | 7¾ | 56.3 mm |
| R | 8¾ | 58.9 mm |
| T | 9¾ | 61.4 mm |
Measuring at home
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres. That figure is the inside circumference — match it to the table above.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and measure the hand the ring will actually be worn on. Fingers can differ by half a size between hands.
A wide band sits tighter than a narrow one. If a band is over 6 mm, consider going up half a size.
Bracelets and bangles
Measure around the wrist just below the wrist bone, snugly but not tight. For a bracelet that moves, add 15–20 mm. For a bangle, which must pass over the knuckles of a closed hand, measure around the widest part of the closed hand instead.
Chains and necklaces
| Length | Where it sits |
|---|---|
| 40 cm | Base of the neck |
| 45 cm | Just below the collarbone — the most common choice |
| 50 cm | At the top of the neckline |
| 60 cm | Below the neckline, good for layering |
Earrings
Earrings are not sized, but dimensions matter. Every product page lists the hoop diameter, drop length and stone size in millimetres, so you can hold a ruler up before deciding.
